This is surely the best indian made scutum I've seen sofar. The edgo looks okay to me, but I would prefer longer strips.
The umbo seems to be very good. Better than the brass 6 corner one you normally see on scuta.
Another thing I would change is the rings to attach your belt. I wouldn't prefer this method, as there is no effidence for, as far as I know. Seccondly I don't think those thinnie rings could bear the weight of the scutum.
This is a lovely shield. My comments would be that the edging should be 'U' shaped (and the edges of the shield board rounded-off)rather than squared. The square boss is only known in archaeology from the second century. (Earlier shields always seem to have hexagonal or round bosses).
